An imaginary land of ease and luxury

the future is tomorrow’s present, or the future is an illusion conjured up by one’s expectations, hopes, and the idea of self-worth. In other words, “I work hard, I expect to be successful, and  my hard work is worth more than a measly wage that pays a little above minimum wage! Mind you, i’m excluding living expenses.” In a perfect world, you reap what you sow. In the world we live in, hard work pays very little.  In fact, its takes money to make money. Business owners must take out loans to build, invest, and gamble in their enterprise. Students must find scholarships, take out loans, apply for grants, somehow, someway, come up with thousands of dollars to pay for their tuition. Real estate owners need money to renovate their property before selling and profiting. It is difficult for myself to see the future as this promising transition where I have nothing to worry about. If i do “A” “B” and “C” then i should yield “D” “E” “F”, right? wrong?  what if sometimes its just  lower case “d” or  just part of an “F”. Or what if i just come up with  what i started with but less  “A” and “C” ? What do you do? What do you make of the world? What do you make of your hard work? What do you make of your self worth? What do you make of the future? An imaginary land of ease and luxury?
